Shane Oporto is best known for his time as executive chef at Octo Fishbar and “Chef de Cuisine” at La Belle Vie.

We talk about how, seemingly overnight, Shane went from working behind the scenes as a Chef to being asked to give interview and being flown all over the world to cook for private events. Wait… that sounds a lot like my first gig with Owl City, being thrown on a private jet with my close friends to open for The Frey. I tell that too but it has me wondering… is there anything else bassists and chefs have in common? Laura Lou joins Shane and I for drinks at DeGidio’s Restaurant & Bar in St. Paul… let’s jump in a booth with some mics to see what happens.
