The creation of 'Rob Morgan Is A Curious Person' was not originally created with the goal of becoming a hit podcast. I'm so grateful for the countless stories shared with me personally telling of how these interviews have inspired and impacted lives. I've heard from musicians about to sell their gear and call it quits, inspired to give it another go; people who have felt stuck in their current career inspired to take on the risk of discovering and pursuing their dream job; and even people who have been inspired to ask and listen to others more intentionally. That said, here are some of the listenership stats for those interested:
- November 2016: Rob has minor mental/career breakdown due to a massive unplanned lull in his music career. After many cold showers, conversations with his endlessly patient and supportive wife Sarah, He decides to finally make this podcast idea He's been sitting on for the past two years a reality.
- May 2017: "Rob Morgan Is A Curious Person" is officially released and within the first month gains a listenership of 1,200.
- July 1, 2017: 4,200 individual listener subscribers joining in on the conversation.
- August 1, 2017: 4,381 The community steadily grows with unique individual listener subscribers joining in on the conversation.
